Jennifer Aniston will only date celebrities.

The 40-year-old actress – who is divorced from actor Brad Pitt and split from musician John Mayer earlier this year – prefers to have relationships with people who are already in the spotlight as she knows they will empathize with her hectic lifestyle.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Jennifer won't date a normal guy. She goes after the hottest thing of the moment."

The star is currently believed to be dating her "The Bounty" co-star Gerard Butler.

The couple were spotted at Manhattan's The Jane Hotel last weekend, with onlookers saying they looked thrilled to be together.

A source added: "They were hand in hand with each other. They went out together on Saturday night (August 22, 2009)."

The pair were later seen enjoying an intimate meal at eatery Freemans.

However, Jennifer's spokesperson has denied romance rumors, insisting the stars are socializing because they work together.

The representative said: "Gerry was one of many from the film there."
