Madonna “Devastated” Over Stage Collapse (Video)

A choked up Madonna took time out of her concert in Udine, Italy Thursday night to recognize the tragedy that had taken place earlier in the day on the set of her upcoming tour stop in Marseilles, France.

The stage for her Sticky and Sweet tour collapsed, leaving 2 dead, while an additional 30 suffered injuries.

“We’re here to give life and to inspire life. I feel so, so devastated to be in any way associated with anyone’s suffering,” she said to her fans. “Let’s all just take a moment to appreciate life in general…We are all so blessed and so lucky to be alive.”

Madonna was set to perform five shows in Marseilles, beginning July 19. As of now, the first scheduled performance has been cancelled.
